The preacher's daughter fell in the water
She got too close again, yeah
She's a social butterfly, so she'll flutter by
And I'll catch her when I can

(Chorus)
In all the world, I've never seen a face so beautifully used
I can't have her and nobody will, no
You don't know what you've got yourself in to
I'm in over my head

She walked in, everyone saw
That she could not be turned down
That kind of power, poisonous flower
Will put you in the ground, whoa...

(Chorus)
Lead)

Like sheep to slaughter, the preacher's daughter
Lead them all away
Eventually, I slipped and I fell
Now I'll never be the same

(Chorus)

Well, she's a social butterfly, so she'll flutter by And I'll catch her when I can...

Farewell Song

Written and recorded by Ransom Briggs

Fire in the breeze, uncontrollably
Burning in her eyes, her eyes, her eyes
Anyone can see what she's done to me
How could you deny those eyes, those eyes

So, I say farewell, bye-bye

Sleep is not for me, all that I have seen
Pass before my eyes, those eyes, those eyes
Listen through the trees, the wind is calling me
How could I deny, those cries, those cries

So, I say farewell, bye-bye

And though the picture's far away
I travel to it every day
But in the end, I have to say
Good-bye my friend

I've gone into the sea, the birds that followed me
Fly into the sky, so high, so high
Listen carefully, for eternity
You will hear me cry, good-bye, good-bye

So, I say farewell, bye-bye
I say farewell, bye-bye

Wild World

Recording by Ransom Briggs
Written by Cat Stevens

[Intro] La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la, la-la

[Chorus]
Ooh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
It's hard to get by just upon a smile
Ooh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a child, girl

[Verse 1]
Now that I've lost everything to you
You say you wanna start something new
And it's breaking my heart you're leavin'
Baby, I'm grieving

[Pre-Chorus 1]
But if you wanna leave, take good care
Hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then, a lot of nice things turn bad out there

[Chorus]

[Verse 2]
You know, I've seen a lot of what the world can do
And it's breakin' my heart in two
'Cause I never wanna see you sad, girl
Don't be a bad girl

[Pre-Chorus 1]
But if you wanna leave, take good care
Hope you make a lot of nice friends out there
But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware ...Beware..

[Chorus]

Sylvester

Recording by Ransom Briggs
Written by Tim Briggs

Here's a song 'bout my old cat Sylvester
Who I used to love to tease and pester
He was a big ol'Tom he was the stud of the neighborhood
He was big and strong and lean and lanky
But he was starting to get a wee bit cranky
So I took him to the doctor, to see if they could do him any good

Well they assured me it was just a simple procedure
And he could finish his days in blissful leisure
Well I consented but I tell you boys I had my doubts
And when I went and picked him up he was a different guy
He looked at me like he wanted to cry
Ever since that day all he does is lay around and pout

(chorus)
He was a strong proud suitor till I had him neutered
He could howl in three octaves on it all night binge
Now he lays on my piano purrs in soprano
It's an awful thing to do in it just makes me cringe
When he looks in my eyes he can barely disguise
That look of disgust and a strong desire
That our roles could be reversed I can't help but think the worst
Goodness gracious great balls of fire!

There's a new young stud in Sylvester's place
You can see the look of hurt on old sly's face
He'd like to be on top just one more time if he could
I think he'd still like to go out and strut his stuff
But he ain't got a whole lot of stuff to strut
He was a big old Tom he was the stud of the neighborhood

(chorus)

To Be Broken

Written and recorded by Ransom Briggs
Guitar slide by James Briggs

(chorus)
Hearts are bound, to get broken sometimes
Broken, but then, mend with time
Stronger than before, then you go back for more
So, hearts were made to be, whole again

Just let it out, because it's about
Finally letting go
Memory remains, without the pain
So finally let it go

(chorus)

Try to pretend, never again
Now use what you know
Because here you are, and you've come so far
And it's finally let you go

(lead)

Stronger than before
Then you go back for more
So, hearts were made to be whole again
Yes, hearts were made to be...
Broken
